AMS360 can show that work happened. The harder question is whether the record is reliable enough to manage from.

That is the gap The Intelligent Insurance Agency helps close.

50 Years of Real Experience

Martha M. Scott, CIC, AAI

Over the past four decades, I've worked with independent agencies across the country to help them do one thing: get their data, workflows, and reporting aligned so owners can actually manage from the numbers instead of around them.

In 1997, I founded Insurance Automation Solutions, where I've spent my consulting career inside real agencies — not theoretical models. My work focuses primarily on AMS360, helping owners and managers standardize workflows, clean up data integrity issues, and build reporting structures they can actually trust.

I'm a CIC and AAI, a past President of the Independent Insurance Agents Association of Maryland, and I've trained agency owners and staff at national and regional conferences for years. Everything I do is built on one principle I learned the hard way: if the reports don't match what's happening in your agency, the problem isn't the reports. It's the workflows behind them.

That's why I created The Intelligent Insurance Agency — a framework to help agency owners move from gut feel and guesswork to clear, decision-ready information.

If something feels off in your agency, I can help you find exactly where it's coming from and what to fix first.

FAQs

Is this a course?

No. This is an operational assessment experience. You'll begin with the free Agency Truth-Finder GPT, continue with the Owner Self-Audit to evaluate your agency's operational maturity, and, if needed, move on to a Documentation Quality Review using your actual AMS360 data.

Do I need to be an AMS360 expert?

No. These tools were designed for agency owners and managers—not AMS360 power users. If you understand how your agency operates, you'll be able to complete the assessments.

What if I already know my agency has problems?

Most owners do. The value isn't simply identifying that something is wrong—it's determining where the problems originate, how much they affect your reporting and decision-making, and what should be addressed first.

How is this different from reviewing reports?

Reports tell you what happened. These assessments help determine whether the data behind those reports is reliable in the first place. If documentation, workflows, or data standards are inconsistent, even the best reports can lead to poor decisions.

What's the difference between the GPT, the Self-Audit, and the Documentation Quality Review?

Each step goes deeper.

Agency Truth-Finder GPT: Identifies potential warning signs based on your answers.

Owner Self-Audit: Evaluates your operational practices, documentation standards, workflows, and reporting habits.

Documentation Quality Review: Reviews your actual AMS360 activity data and documentation patterns to identify operational risks and opportunities for improvement.

You can stop at any stage or continue if you want a deeper analysis.

What happens after I finish?

You'll receive clear results along with recommendations for your next step. Some agencies simply need better standards. Others discover documentation, workflow, or reporting issues that warrant a Documentation Quality Review. There is no obligation to move forward—the goal is to help you understand how reliable your agency's operational data really is.
